Our Band

Maybe Tomorrow consists of composer, lyricist and multi instrumentalist Hab Pearl, together with lyricist and bassist Tom Safran. The two musicians first met by fortunate coincidence in the mid nineteen nineties. Both passionate music enthusiasts, they live and work mainly in the Salzburg area.

All songs are written, arranged, recorded and produced independently in the band’s own home studio, a place filled with guitars, basses, amplifiers and a wide range of instruments that have found a permanent home there.

The music of Maybe Tomorrow is available worldwide through numerous digital platforms including Amazon Music, Spotify and many others.

Their sound resists simple categorization. Moving freely beyond traditional stylistic boundaries, their work combines elements of Independent music, Lo Fi aesthetics and psychedelic atmosphere. At times they also create remarkably catchy songs, often enriched by an understated sense of humor and emotional depth.

The lyrics revolve around themes such as unrequited love, nocturnal escape, longing, irony and the fragile beauty of human relationships. Beneath the often cynical and ambiguous surface lies a clear affirmation of life, emotion and love.

Tom Safran primarily plays bass and contributes extensively to the lyrical concepts and songwriting. Hab Pearl performs guitars, percussion, synthesizers and most of the remaining instrumentation, occasionally including bass as well.

All recordings are produced and mixed at Georgetown Cellar Studios. Modern digital studio technology provides both powerful sound dynamics and the subtle nuances that characterize the band’s unmistakable atmosphere.

Master

Hab Pearl:

Hab Pearl arrived on this planet in the early sixties of the last century.

He grew up deep in the forests of Upper Austria, living on potatoes and whistling melodies into the endless woods.

After several years as a solitary whistler, he began learning a variety of instruments, including saxophone, clarinet, guitar, drums, and a few others along the way.

In order to make all this musical education worthwhile, he started writing songs. Eventually he met an extraordinarily eccentric character named Tom Safran. From that moment on, the two began performing these songs together under the name Maybe Tomorrow.

Rookie

Tom Safran:

He spent many years living in the blue hills around Salzburg. As a result, one of his legs became slightly shorter than the other.

Sometimes he sings the blues, sometimes he prefers silence, but most of the time he can be found playing bass guitar somewhere between melancholy and amusement.
